Product compliance

As a socially responsible organisation that is committed to producing high-quality products, we recognise the importance of product safety. To ensure that the materials we use are safe, whether they are manufactured internally or supplied by vendors, we make sure that they conform to the internationally recognised telecommunications compliance standards that monitor and restrict the use of lead and toxic chemicals.

We monitor and review the conformity of all materials, including but not limited to inks, varnishes, and paper materials. We also purchase components and accessories only from approved and preferred suppliers, who are able to certify that the materials supplied have passed the corresponding safety tests, standards, and/or regulations.

Our testing for global telecommunications requirements are qualified through:

• C-Tick (Australia)

• PTC (New Zealand)

• R&TTE (Europe)

Soundpro, Soundshield 4G, Soundshield Wireless and HD Wireless product compliance evaluations adhere to the following compliance standards:

• AS/NZS60950-01:2006 - Approval and Test Specification - Electrical safety including, Electrical Brown out and short term mains disturbances.

• AS/NZS CISPR24 - Approval and Test Specification - standard for rf immunity

• AS/NZS CISPR22 - Approval and Test Specification - standard for rf emissions

• AS/ACIF S004: 2008 - Voice Frequency Performance Requirements for Customer Equipment

• AS/NZS 60950 - High Voltage Safety testing

• TT4 - Acoustic Limiting measurements for Telephones and Headsets (Soundshield only)

• Full European compliance (CE) testing

• EN60950-1:2006 - Approval and Test Specification - Electrical safety including, Electrical Brown out and short term mains disturbances.

• EN5502:2006 & CISPR22:2005 - Approval and test Specification – standard for rf emissions
