Personal information held by Polaris may
include the details provided to us by you such as your name, company
name (if applicable), current address, telephone and fax numbers,
email address and credit card details. We also hold details of the
Polaris products and services you have purchased. If you choose
not to provide us with the personal information we request from
you, we may not be able to provide you with the products or services
you require, or the high level of service on which we pride ourselves.
We have taken steps to ensure your credit
card details and other personal information are safe by developing
and using a secure server and SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption
(decoding) methods. This safeguards our customer data against misuse,
loss or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
Polaris may use your personal information
to verify your identity, facilitate your order, administer and manage
the services you require, maintain and develop our business systems,
manage your account and inform you of other Polaris products and
services that you may be interested in.
In order to deliver the products and services
you require to you, Polaris may disclose your personal information
to organisations outside Polaris. These organisations may include
couriers and freight companies (including Australia Post), public
relations and marketing services, sales and telemarketing services,
and printers.
Your personal information is disclosed to
these organisations only in relation to Polaris providing our products
and services to you. Polaris takes reasonable steps to ensure these
organisations are subject to obligations of confidentiality or privacy
in relation to the protection of your personal information.
Polaris takes all reasonable precautions
to ensure the personal information we collect, use and disclose
is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, the accuracy of the
information we hold depends to a large extent on the information
you provide. That's why we recommend that you let us know if there
are any errors in your personal information, and keep us up-to-date
with changes to personal information.
You have a right to access your personal
information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would
like to do so, please let us know. You may required to put your
request in writing for security reasons. Polaris reserves the right
to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to your
information.
